Your First Appointment

First Visit (45mins-1 Hour)

You will be greeted by one of our friendly staff and we'll have some brief paperwork for you to fill in on your first visit. This paperwork provides us with general information about you and your condition.

At your first visit, the chiropractor will take a full and detailed medical history and carry out a thorough physical, orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic examination. Your specific condition may require us to arrange X-rays either to rule out certain conditions or to assist us in assessing the most effective treatment plan for you. During your first consultation with the doctor, you'll discuss any health-related issues and concerns. You'll also learn about potential treatment options.

Your posture will also be assessed at this time. You will then receive a diagnosis of the problem, with an explanation of what may have caused the problems, along with a proposed treatment plan, tailored to your needs.

Same-day Treatment

Once the examination is complete, patients will generally have their first treatment during this same visit. This may include spinal adjustments and physical therapy. Before leaving, you'll be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be carried out at home. This may include ice or heat applications, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises.
